This course provides the student with a continuum of learning experiences in a real life setting. The student will participate in clinical rotations and in a preceptorship on the ambulance as a third person. These rotations are designed to meet required proficiency evaluations in an appropriate learning environment while allowing the student to take on graduated responsibilities for patient care. These clinical practice settings comprise of emergency, post anaesthetic care, labour and delivery and out-patient geriatrics as well as an extensive ride along with a preceptor crew. The student is evaluated throughout the process by the clinical coordinators and preceptor through completion of the various modules.
