Community Practicum

This course provides the student an opportunity to gain invaluable experience within a community/acute care/mental health environment under the guidance of a preceptor. The student will explore the different roles of the PSW outside of the LTC setting. In a work environment, students will transfer the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the program clients experiencing health transitions and health challenges.
