This course provides the student with long term strategies for the maintenance of fitness and wellbeing as it applies to their personal and professional lives. An emphasis will be placed on critical thinking and reflection with respect to individual strengths and weaknesses. Students will participate in the development of a physical readiness program with a focus on proper body mechanics and the development of strength.. Students will also participate in group presentations designed to address the components of fitness. Students will be required to complete a fitness evaluation which will include a cardiovascular strength test, push-ups, sit-ups, and flexibility test.
