Drawing II

An in-depth study, using various drawing media and life models (clothed and/or unclothed) to explore different approaches in representing the human figure. Students will be introduced to a variety of drawing materials such as papers, graphite sticks & pencils, conte, pastels, charcoal, water based paints & ink and benefit from both group and individual instruction. Emphasis is placed on the importance of focused observation in a sequence of exercises that develop insight into the form, structure and gesture of the body as well as development of a personal expression that leads to successful visual communication. This course also introduces some anatomical terminology.
