This course extends the knowledge acquired in PARAMEDIC ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY 1 (ANTY 1401) to the implications of disease and alterations in functions. A problem-based approach is used to relate implications of pathology on homeostatic/compensatory mechanisms and the consequences of decompensation and failure. This course closely parallels the content of PARAMEDIC THEORY 2 (THEO 2400). Emphasis is placed on pathophysiology as a predictor of clinical presentation, therapeutic approach, and outcome.
