Assignments will include the use of composition, depth of field and portrait shooting techniques both on location and in the photographic studio. Students will explore manipulating images from the camera to software applications such as Adobe PhotoShop and Adobe Lightroom. Students will also receive an introduction to basic video capture and editing using their own smart phone devices. The students will learn to create simple short form videos that would be used in advertising, particularly on popular social media platforms. This course will teach students to create brief story boards, capture content, and then edit their clips together into reels.
