Field Placement Seminar 2

This course is designed to inform and prepare the HRM graduate certificate student for the HURM 1206 field placement course which will take place during the last four weeks of the second semester. It is a combination of assignments, mini-workshops, guest speaker presentations and opportunities to meet one-to-one with the faculty coordinator during the semester. Employer selection procedures are scheduled early in the second semester of the program of study and the field placement will commence during the last four weeks of the second semester. Students have the option to select from a list of employers assembled by the faculty coordinator. On an exception basis only, students may "prospect" their own employer location subject to approval by the Field Placement Officer and Program Coordinator. Students will be required to complete all training modules, a student declaration, and a Health and Safety Checklist to be eligible to participate in the field placement course HURM 1206.
