Digital Circuits II

This course is a continuation of Digital Circuits I, DGFN 1131. Students gain a greater understanding of the principles and applications of digital electronics through theory and practical applications. The course covers various types of data circuits, digital waveform timing, and advanced sequential circuits including MOD counters, shift registers, and 555 timer circuits, and basics of ADC/DAC. Students will also learn the properties and handling techniques of TTL and CMOS devices. Students will work in groups to complete a project with ICs, sensors and Arduino/ Raspberry-Pi type microcontroller to demonstrate their capabilities in applying the knowledge acquired in this course. Simulation models will be built with electronic simulation software.
