New and current students

Starting my journey at Durham College as an international student has been a very positive and welcoming experience. The Home@DC International Student Orientation mini modules were especially helpful in preparing me for life both academically and socially at Durham College. The modules were clear, engaging, and provided practical information that helped me understand available services, campus resources, and what to expect as a new student in Canada.

Through orientation and daily interactions, I have felt supported by faculty, staff, and fellow students. The DC community creates an environment where students feel encouraged, valued, and confident to ask questions and seek help when needed. I have also appreciated how accessible student services are, making it easier to settle in and focus on my studies.

As a student in the Personal Support Worker program, I feel confident that Durham College is equipping me with the knowledge, skills, and support needed to succeed both academically and professionally. I am grateful to be part of such a supportive and inclusive college community.
