Access and Support Centre

Access and Support Centre (ASC)

Welcome to the Access and Support Centre (ASC). The ASC team work in partnership with students and faculty to ensure the academic environment is fully accessible to students with disabilities. We are committed to providing friendly, accessible and confidential services to students.

The ASC operates under the Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC) to ensure services are provided for students with disabilities. Students who do not have documentation supporting a disability but are experiencing difficulties relating to educational access are encouraged to visit the ASC for assistance.  Accommodation supports can be provided on an interim or on-going basis.

Accommodations include but are not limited to:

  • Transition support for incoming students
  • Disability advocacy
  • Learning skills support
  • Adaptive technology training
  • Alternate format for course material

Students are encouraged to contact us as soon as they are accepted to schedule an appointment. By scheduling your appointment well in advance of the start of your first term, we can determine and implement your accommodations in a timely manner.

In the event that a student discovers they require disability support after starting their program, our team is here to assist.
