I made my decision to pursue an education in nursing based on researching various colleges and determining who had an excellent program and reputation with employers. My diploma from Durham College opened so many doors for me in that my education received at Durham was considered superior to other colleges. In fact, my first employer chose me over university grads simply because of the hands-on training provided by the college and Durham’s excellent reputation.

Advice for new students: Pursue your dreams. I have been able to do many tasks and work in fields that were considered out of the scope of my training initially.
