This course provides an introduction to the not-for-profit area and the role of the public relations practitioner. Students will write a public relations proposal for a not-for-profit agency of their choice. Students will familiarize themselves with the activities and communication needs of the agency. This course provides direction and time for visits and meetings with agency staff. An appropriate public relations plan can only be developed by close and regular contact with the agency.
