Regional Tourism

In Regional Tourism, students investigate the interaction and interdependence that exists between tourism and hospitality taking into consideration global, national, provincial and regional markets, specifically looking at the social, economic and political impact of tourism. Students develop a template for evaluating a tourism destination from a consumer and industry development perspective. They complete a number of Tourism Destination Analysis research reports and present that information to their classmates. In the process, students are exposed not only to local and regional tourism product, but a number of national and international destinations as well
