Fire and Critical Environments

This course is focused on fire dynamics in a critical environment. Students will learn to design fire protection systems using alternative methods of fire extinguishment based on hazards associated with the environment. This lecture based course will allow the student to effectively select and calculate life safety dynamics and early warning fire detection and suppression. Students will apply previously learned content and develop hybrid fire suppression solutions. This course will also provide the student with a very critical overview of fire design principles related to special extinguishment for critical environments. Students will get exposed to chemical fire suppression agents.
