Narrative Video Production

Narrative videos are based on three acts, in which the story has a beginning, middle and end. The beginning is the set-up: the main characters and their world are introduced. In the middle, the film progresses and a conflict or crisis is revealed. The end, or denouement resolves the story. The narrative filmmaker has the freedom to create storylines and alter historical facts. This course introduces technical considerations, including audio/video aesthetics and creating work specific to an audience and/or client. The primary focus of this course is the creation of "digital stories," told in a compelling and emotionally engaging manner.
