Mainframe Development

This is the first of three (1 of 3) courses in developing application programs and systems for Mainframe computing. This course will deal with COBOL application programming including language basics, control structures, multiple output files, minor totals and arrays. The emphasis of the course will be on lab problems in the COBOL programming language to provide the student with a foundation in problem analysis, program design and implementation that can be applied in a variety of programming situations and languages. The basics of mainframe architecture and JCL will also be introduced.
