Engineering Graphics II

This course focuses on topics related to the creation of working drawings using 2D CAD as well as introductory drawing office and engineering procedures. The course begins with techniques for drawings with more complex orthographic views, such as section and auxiliary views, then moves on to topics related to the preparation of working drawings such as conventional dimensioning, detail drawings, assembly drawings, limits and fits, and datums and positioning. After some coverage of drawing office and drawing revision procedure, the course ends with an introduction to geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Students are given the opportunity to develop skills in areas such as drawing preparation and dimensioning; they will also work with engineering sketches where appropriate. Current national (CAN/CSA-B78.2-M91, ASME Y14M) and international (ISO) standards are referenced throughout the course.
