Data Comm. & Networking

The Data Communications and Networking V course builds on the knowledge learned in DCOM 4100, Data Communications and Networking IV. Students will further their ability to plan, configure, maintain and scale a routed network. Topics will include advanced configuration of routing protocols, manipulating and optimizing routing updates, path control, implementing ISP and Branch Office connectivity and implementing IPv6 in an enterprise environment. This course is designed to instruct the student in practical installations and troubleshooting techniques as well as provide a solid foundation with the internetworking protocols of the communications industry. A large portion of our systems graduates will find their careers directly involved in the data communications, networking industry or supporting companies in the networking area.
