Clinical Skills and Techniques III

In this course, students begin to integrate assessment skills, massage therapy techniques, and self-care strategies attained in year 1 in the management of common conditions affecting the spine and peripheral joints. Students continue to apply principles of outcome-based massage and current evidence in learning to develop patient-focused Massage Therapy Treatment Plans. In the classroom and laboratory, clinical case examples provide students with the opportunity to apply critical thinking skills in selecting appropriate assessments, positioning, techniques, modalities, and therapeutic exercises to given conditions.
