Customer Service In Animal Care

Dealing with clients/customers in animal care environments is a complex process, often complicated by emotion and stress related to difficult decisions about animals. This course will explore the key skills needed to successfully interact professionally with a diverse range of clients/customers in a variety of animal care settings. Topics will include professionalism in conversation, conflict resolution, dealing with challenging clients, and positive self-care. Real life examples will be used to highlight some of the typical situations animal care workers may encounter and students will be encouraged to think creatively about realistic solutions to everyday client/customer service scenarios.
