Paramedic Anatomy/Physiology 3

This course extends the knowledge acquired in PARAMEDIC ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY 1 (ANTY 1401) and PARAMEDIC ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY 2 (ANTY 2400) to the implications of disease and alterations in function in special populations and groups. A systems approach continues to be utilized to relate the implications of pathology on homeostatic/compensatory mechanisms and the consequences of decompensation and failure. Emphasis is placed on pathophysiology as a predictor of clinical presentation, therapeutic approach and outcome.
