This course provides students with a general overview of the field of gerontology. Psychological, physiological and social issues, which impact aging individuals, their families and others within the circle of care, are examined. Theoretical, historical and practical approaches are utilized to provide a broader understanding of what it means to be an older adult in Canadian Society.
