Pay the Bills

Payment plans

There are three payment plans to choose from when paying your tuition.

Plan A: payment in full.

Plan B: payment per semester.

Plan C: four instalments.

Please note: Part-time students submit payment at the time of registration.

A $50 administrative fee is included in the first installment payment for each semester.

Your fees statement will outline the due dates for the above payment plans and your account balance.

We encourage you to pay your fees early to avoid a late payment penalty fee of $100. For first year students, failure to pay fees by the date indicated on the fees statement could result in the loss of your program seat.

Payment options

Paying online (credit card and personal banking)

Used for full payments only:

Paying in person

  • Payments can be made in the Student Services building;
  • Summer hours: Monday, May 2 to Friday, July 29 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.;
  • Regular hours: Monday to Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.;
  • Print and bring your fees statement with you;
  • Cash, credit card, debit card (Interac), certified cheques or money orders are accepted; and
  • Payment must be made in Canadian funds.

Please note: The credit card account holder must be present to sign for the transaction.

OSAP deferment

  • A Promissory Note is a legal contract between you and the college, it is offered by the college to allow you to defer some of your fees until you have received your Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) funding;
  • Once you have received your OSAP assessment, print your ‘Application Status Summary’. Bring it to the Student Services building (SSB) along with the OSAP Promissory Note, and your fees statement. At the SSB you may check in at the Welcome Desk or at a self-serve kiosk.;
  • You will be required to pay a minimum $200 deposit towards your tuition fees at the time you submit your deferment application;
  • If your OSAP does not cover the full amount of fees each semester, the remaining amount must be paid by the due dates indicated on Payment Plan B of your fees statement; and
  • OSAP pickup begins Friday, August 26 to Friday, September 23 at SSB116A and SSB116B. First-year students must sign up for an OSAP session in the Student Services building or may pick up their OSAP while attending GPS Live.

For up-to-date information, please see the Financial Aid information located under the Student tab in MyCampus.

Payment options for Second Career students

In order to secure your seat you must provide a signed contract or have verbal approval from your local Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (MTCU) office.

If you have received your contract and funding, please pay your fees using one of the three payment plans noted above.

If you have not yet received your contract or funding, please contact the MTCU at 1.800.387.5656 to determine the status of your application.

Sponsored students

If your fees are being paid by an external agency, the college requires an authorization letter from your sponsor. Please attach this letter to your fees statement and submit it to the Office of the Registrar. An invoice will then be sent to your sponsor.

Please note: you must have both copies of your tuition invoices that were included in your enrolment package when deferring or paying your tuition.

Scholarships, bursaries and awards

Scholarships are awarded to students who have achieved:

  • Academic or personal excellence or a combination of both;
  • Community involvement; and
  • Leadership.

Bursaries are awarded based on financial need. Occasionally, there may be other requirements for qualification such as membership in a certain organization or enrolment in a specific program. Students must be in good academic standing to receive a bursary.

While they do not have to be repaid, scholarships and bursaries need to be declared on your OSAP application, unless you have been notified otherwise.

Donor awards provide a valuable resource for Durham College students. Application instructions are available by visiting the MyCampus website. Award amounts may vary year to year.

Information on the available scholarships, bursaries and donor awards can be found under the Financial Aid tab in MyCampus.
