Student bursaries

Any FULL-TIME graduate student, currently registered in a Masters or PhD program at a recognized institution is eligible to apply for a bursary that will cover UP TO 90% of the full conference fee.

The EDC has set aside a maximum of $2,000 for this initiative for the Winter Conference 2009. The plan is to split this amount equally among graduate students who apply for it, UP TO 90% of the conference fees. It is intended to pay fees, not other costs, so the funds cannot be applied to hotel expenses, etc.

The maximum individual amount available is $243 for the Conference / $45 for the Pre-Conference; however, this may be reduced, depending on the number of applicants for bursary support.

To apply, please email Ruth Rodgers (Ruth.Rodgers@dc-uoit.ca) identifying yourself as a graduate student (full-time), your program/university, your interest/involvement in educational development, and your reasons for wishing to attend the Winter Conference.

Bursary applications must be received by DECEMBER 31, 2008 to be considered. Applicants will be advised of the status of their application by JANUARY 15TH to facilitate their conference registration and planning.
