For no-fee ACE courses, this free 20 hour online course is a prerequisite. There are no exceptions.
Enrollments for L2L must go through the website http://www.acedistancedelivery.ca and click tab called L2L Registration. Two attempts to pass L2L are allowed only.
Fee-paying students are welcome to take L2L which may prepare them for online learning.

Prerequisites
The prerequisite for ACE Chemistry and all other ACE math courses is ACE Core Math. A student is exempt from taking ACE Core Math only if he/she has the equivalent math or more (school board or Academic Upgrading) math within the past 10 years with a 70% mark or better. Students must fax their high school or college transcript to Lynne Wallace at 705-675-8295 or scan it and email it to l.wallace@xplornet.com for approval.
Textbooks
For no-fee ACE courses textbooks are sent out by Marla White and are free to the student. Fee-paying students are required to pay for their book. Courses requiring textbooks are Business Mathematics, Apprenticeship Mathematics, Technology Mathematics, and Physics.
No textbooks are required for Communications, Computer Fundamentals and Self Management/Self Direction, Core Math, Chemistry, and Biology.
The textbooks are the property of the student.
Please Note: if the student is retaking a course they should already have the textbook. If the student is out-of-province, the student orders the text from Marla White and pays for that required textbook.
Restrictions to Registering:
- If a student fails to complete their no-fee ACE online course and did not officially withdraw or has a failing final grade, they must pay for the next ACE online course they take – it could be the same course or a different course.
- If a student wants to retake an ACE online course to improve their mark, they will pay for that course and textbook if applicable.
- Any out-of-province students will pay for their ACE course(s) and will order and pay for their textbook(s) with Marla White.
- International students will pay the appropriate international student rate for their course and their textbook.
