Durham College’s Oshawa campus is located in a safe and secure setting that offers the best of country and city living. Oshawa and the Durham Region provide a wide variety of shopping, sports and entertainment options and the metropolis of Toronto is only a short distance away.
But you don’t need to leave the campus to have a fun and rewarding student life! Students can find everything they need at Durham College for a student experience that balances challenging studies with fun and exciting activities outside the classroom.
Stay fit: Students have access to the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre which features which features a 28,000-sq.-ft. triple gym, 10,000-sq.-ft. fitness centre, two squash courts, an indoor golf range, an elevated indoor walking/jogging track overlooking the gym and more.
Stay healthy: The Health Centre is committed to the delivery of high quality health care services that promote student health in a professional and confidential manner, allowing students to be more successful in pursuing their educational objectives.
Enjoy great food: There is a wide variety of dining options to choose from on campus, including Tim Horton, Extreme Pita and Marketplace Cafeteria just to name a few.
Have fun with your friends: There are many places and activities on campus that are available for students to meet, relax or engage. If you prefer organized activities, Durham students are represented by Your Student Association (Your SA) that plans a variety of social events and is home to a wide variety of more than 70 special interest clubs.
Find a place to study: The college offers a variety of areas to study whether you are in between classes or just need a quiet place to concentrate. Our Campus Library provides a warm and inviting atmosphere for individual and collaborative learning. Wireless Internet connection is available throughout the campus to keep you connected to important resources. We also offer our state-of-the-art Learning Commons with 200 computers and wired and wireless Internet connection.
Easy to commute
The Oshawa campus is easily accessible by public transit, serviced by Durham Region Transit as well as GO Transit buses. As part of their student fees, all full-time Durham College students receive a Universal Transit Pass (U-Pass) that offers:
- Unlimited use of any Durham Region Transit or GO Transit bus operating within the Durham Region; and
- Reduced GO Transit fare outside of Durham Region.
Please note: the U-Pass is only valid during the academic year.
For those who wish to drive, there are safe parking facilities available. You can purchase a permit on an hourly or daily basis, or for the term or year.

If you decide to live away from home, there are a number of inviting and modern on-campus residence options.
At Durham College, we offer the best of both worlds when it comes to residence – all the comforts of home in a unique campus community experience. Our residences provide convenience, the opportunity to build great friendships and the chance to connect with all that campus life has to offer. Each residence also offers a number of different room options.
