They should be used as a guideline for the 2010-2011 academic year until otherwise indicated.

Compulsory ancillary fees - Oshawa and Whitby campuses:

* The fees for health and dental coverage must be paid in advance. Students who do not need this coverage may request to opt out. Forms are available online through the Your SA website or at the Student Centre. Students applying to opt out are required to provide proof of medical/dental coverage.

Compulsory ancillary fees for part-time students will be charged on a prorated basis depending on the number of subjects you are taking.

International students are required to pay an additional $560 for medical coverage.

Additional fees:

You will also be responsible for additional tuition fees for each course taken in excess of your normal full-time course load for the appropriate program level.

Incidental fees

For certain programs, the college may levy an additional fee over and above tuition and compulsory ancillary fees for the learning materials and supplies you retain.. A list of these costs will be sent to you.

Fee deferral

If you are experiencing financial difficulties, you may request a deferment of fees. A minimum payment of $100 is required plus a deferral charge of $40. This option is not available to international students.

Payment by instalment administrative fee

You will be charged a $50.00 administrative fee for each semester in which you choose to pay your fees by instalment.

Late payment penalty fee

If you fail to pay your fees on time, you will be charged a non-refundable late payment fee of $100 each time a payment deadline is missed. Late payment fees are applied if space remains in the program and may result in the loss of a program seat. Durham College is not obliged to hold seats for students who fail to pay their fees by the payment deadline.
