The hub for housing information, the Student Housing Office (SHO) is your central point of contact if you are a student seeking housing, either on or off campus. Once you have determined the type of housing that is appropriate for your needs, the SHO will help you determine your next steps and refer you to the appropriate resource.
Resource centre
The SHO is your resource centre when it comes to student housing. You can contact the office regarding any questions that you have about your current or future living space and the SHO will refer you to experts in areas including:
- By-law matters;
- Landlord/tenant disputes;
- Rights as renter; and
- Building and fire codes.
Information sessions
We understand that living independently is an exciting venture, and one that may require some guidance. To help increase your level of knowledge about independent living and prepare you to become a community resident, the SHO hosts free information sessions prior to the school year.
