As part of its commitment to creating a richer learning environment in the classroom and online, the Innovation Centre provides teaching and learning expertise, leadership and support to Durham College faculty. In addition, we promote an ongoing, campus-wide dialogue about web-centric instructional technology and its role in curriculum.
We offer many services including:
- Curriculum and course outline development;
- Curriculum mapping;
- Facilitating focus groups;
- Informal training sessions;
- Instructional design;
- Learning- or technology-related discussions and forums;
- One-on-one instruction for using new technology to improve teaching techniques;
- Research into new tools and techniques;
- Support for involved faculty; and
- Workshops and demonstrations on a variety IT topics including course-related web pages.
