The School of Communication, Language and General Studies requires a part-time professor to teach in the following subject for the winter semester (January, 2010 - April, 2010):

LAW 1319 Canadian Law (3 hours per week) 

Candidates may be required to teach related subjects in other programs.  Candidates must have an appropriate educational and experiential background to teach specific subjects.  Successful candidates will meet the following qualifications.

  1. Must hold an appropriate undergraduate degree or diploma and/or equivalent experience.
  2. Two or more years teaching experience at the post-secondary level preferred with an understanding of adult educational principles and teaching methodology.  An understanding of the Community College system in Ontario would be an asset.
  3. Must be an independent worker who demonstrates initiative but also works well in a team environment.  Must have excellent student service skills and good administrative and communication skills.
  4. Candidates who demonstrate knowledge or competency in the following academic skills and abilities will be given preference:

For new college faculty it is expected that as a professional in the field of adult education the individual would possess an educational credential in this area or equivalent experience as approved by their Dean.  For more information on the required professional development, please see the following website:
