Students are encouraged to get involved in campus life as part of the post-secondary experience. We offer a multitude of activities on campus that promote:
- Intellectual growth;
- Personal development; and
- Integrity.
We offer vibrant student leadership opportunities to provide a seamless learning environment for your student both inside and outside the classroom.
Our unique and cutting-edge Co-Curricular Recognition program was developed to support and recognize student participation and leadership in qualifying campus activities. The program will allow your student to produce an official record of his or her campus involvement.
As a family member you might be concerned that involvement in campus activities will decrease your student's academic success and in fact, the opposite is true. These activities will require your student to:
- Better manage their time;
- Pursue new interests; and
- Increase his or her awareness of global and community citizenship.
All of this combined will ensure that your student has a well-balanced experience that will lead to greater successes and outcomes.
Students are:
- Exploring new interests;
- Joining a campus club or group;
- Meeting new people; and
- Becoming aware of the importance of community involvement and citizenship.
You can offer your support by:
- Encouraging your student to explore what is available on campus;
- Remembering academics is only a portion of student life; and
- Helping your student to identify effective use of his or her time.
